Accora Village Scoreboard

“Having a scoreboard installed in our gym, at the Accora Centre, a privately owned recreation centre, was a long time dream.  Paul S. Leskew & Assoc, The Scoreboard Man and their expert staff made it all possible.  They were professional, courteous and helpful in providing us with a customized scoreboard and ensuring the installation met our tight deadline.  We were only a few weeks away from our annual March Break basketball Tournament and Paul S. Leskew & Assoc, The Scoreboard Man went above and beyond to ensure we got the right product in our custom colour. The team was attentive to our needs and followed up every step of the way.  Thank you. The youth in our community are loving the scoreboard”

Exclusive Deal with Scorbitz Enables Live Score Streaming

Orillia, ON – January 4, 2013

Today Paul S. Leskew & Associates Inc. THE SCOREBOARD MAN and Nevco announced an exclusive ability to stream scoring data live from Nevco scoreboards to an app on fans’ smart phones, tablet devices or PCs.  The industry’s largest private manufacturer of display and scoring solutions has executed an agreement with mobile app developer Scorbitz and now offers new and existing Nevco customers the ability to send game time and scores directly to fans in real time.  The free app, which is available for iPhones via the iTunes store or for Android devices using the Google Play Store, also enables fans to look up team schedules and have final scores sent to their devices automatically.

The solution uses proprietary and patented technology from Scorbitz, a technology and social media company that has created the only automated solution to bring scores directly from stadium, gymnasium and ball field scoreboards, to fans’ smart phones, tablets or PCs in real time.  Once the easy installation is complete, the technology works automatically, and doesn’t require any additional work or training from scoreboard operators to share scoring data with fans in real time.

The Nevco/Scorbitz solution is more than just cool (and addictive) technology to impress fans.  The solution also helps to generate revenue for the customer through the placement of online advertising.

“The flexibility in advertising formats and possibilities with the Scorbitz app is truly innovative in the mobile application market, and combined with Nevco’s product really increases the amount of inventory and potential revenue sources for all venues,” said Nevco President Gary Robert.  “Nevco scoreboard customers can strengthen their relationships with their fans, boosters and alumni, while generating revenue for their programs at the same time.”

Schools and organizations using Scorbitz on their Nevco scoring solutions at their home venues can also take this functionality on the road to away games too.  Using a free mobile app for administrators, customers can enter game data manually and transmit it to Scorbitz app users.
